Yolo County Same-Day Arrest Source
The Sheriff's own Crime Data and Booking Status page is where an official search starts. Read it carefully, though. It offers monthly arrest reports. There is also a notice about reports posted in the Monroe Detention Center lobby. Neither one works as a live countywide roster. For a booking that happened today, the custody information line at 530-668-5245 gives fresher answers. The gap between those two sources matters. A monthly report records certain Sheriff arrests after the fact. A phone call can confirm whether a named person is currently held. It also covers the arrest time. The arresting agency, housing, and bail can come up too. So can the next court date, a tentative release date, and outside holds when law allows. Staff will not fill in every field on every call. Statutory limits and sensitive investigations can also keep an arrest out of anything published. Open the Sheriff's booking-status page.

The Yolo County page points to official arrest reports. No live roster appears there. Booking photos are not shown either. Visitors get links to county sources instead.
Check Yolo County’s Last 24 Hours
Have solid identifying details ready before you call. Shared names cause mix-ups fast. Keep the inquiry on one person and that person's current custody. Monroe Detention Center serves as the county's main jail and intake point, so arrests by city police departments usually flow into the same centralized booking process.
- Confirm the name and likely arrest date. Note the full name and, if known, the arresting agency.
- Call Monroe Records at 530-668-5245. Ask whether the person is in Yolo County custody now and when the arrest was processed.
- Ask for releasable custody facts. These may include charges, bail, court date, housing, tentative release, and outside holds.
- Separate arrest from case outcome. If charges were filed, use the Yolo Superior Court record for later hearings and disposition.
- Request a copy if needed. A phone answer gives operational status; an arrest or booking record uses the Sheriff’s records process.
The YCSO Custody FAQ spells out what facts the phone line covers. For the wider picture, the countywide Yolo County recent-arrest hub shows how booking, court, and later custody records connect. Read the official custody questions and contact route.

The FAQ supports a named-person inquiry when no self-service Yolo County roster is available.
Yolo County Custody Details
A phone answer beats the monthly PDF for freshness. It is still just an operational snapshot. It is not a roster entry. Bail review, court orders, classification, release processing, or an outside hold can change any detail. Ask when the information was pulled. Treat it as a moment-in-time answer.
| Custody detail | What it can clarify |
|---|---|
| Current custody | Whether the named person is held in the Yolo County jail system at inquiry time. |
| Arrest timing and agency | When the arrest occurred and which agency made it. |
| Charges | Accusations recorded at this stage, which can differ from a court filing. |
| Bail and court date | Current bail information and the next known court date when available. |
| Housing and visits | Current housing and visiting information, subject to change. |
| Release and holds | A tentative release date and any disclosed outside-agency hold. |
| Booking photo | No public same-day photo view was found; YCSO Policy 805 and records law control requests. |
The call will not hand over a booking number. No photograph or certified copy comes that way either. For a lawful personal, court, or records purpose, name the exact record in a California Public Records Act request. From there the Sheriff may release it. The office may redact parts, delay, or withhold it under the law that fits the case. Note: A tentative release time can shift because of a court order, transfer, processing step, or outside hold.
Why Yolo Arrests May Be Missing
A missing name on day one can mean several things. Someone cited in the field never gets booked at Monroe at all. Another person may be booked and released before family even calls. A city department's arrest can land in that agency's activity log first. County custody is a separate question. A warrant from another agency can also keep someone held quietly. No single explanation covers every case. Intake takes time, too. Identification, property inventory, and medical screening can all happen first. Classification, charge entry, and hold checks also come before anything is ready to release. YCSO publishes no fixed lag, refresh schedule, or weekend cadence for a live feed. No such feed exists. So never assume a name should appear within a set number of minutes. Never count on the next business morning.
- Booking
- The jail intake process after an arrest, including identity and custody documentation.
- Citation release
- An arrest outcome directing the person to appear later without a lasting jail stay.
- Hold
- A legal basis that may prevent release because another agency has an interest in custody.
- Disposition
- The court result. It is not shown by the arrest alone.
Yolo Arrest Photos and Records
Yolo County has no official same-day booking-photo page. A photo may exist inside the booking system. That does not make it posted or releasable. The Sheriff's public policy materials include Policy 805. It is titled "Release of Jail Booking Photographs." A specific photo request goes through YCSO Records. It stands subject to that policy, the California Public Records Act, investigation limits, privacy rules, and protections for sealed matters. The official forms page lists a Crime Report Request Form. It offers no dedicated booking-photo form. A focused request should include the person's identity, the date, the arresting agency, and any known report or booking number. Say plainly whether you want an arrest report, a booking record, or a booking photograph. These are different records. The agency may hold only part of what you seek. The monthly YCSO booking PDFs are narrower still. Their columns cover name, arrest date, arrest location, and charges. Intake time, booking number, bail, housing, release, disposition, and photographs all stay out. A later monthly entry can document a reported arrest. It cannot show that the person is still in jail today. View the official Monroe Detention Center page.

The facility page establishes where county booking intake occurs, not a public photo roster.
No Verified Yolo Booking App
The Yolo County Sheriff's Office lists no dedicated booking app for its jail. No mobile tool streams a live Yolo County arrest roster. There is no same-day booking feed. Booking photos are not there either. What the office offers instead is its website plus news and social channels. It also provides VINE details and emergency alerts. Each of those serves a different job. Treat any third-party jail app with care, since it is not the Sheriff's own custody record. VINE tracks selected custody events for a person once the record reaches the participating system. It sends release or transfer notices. But it is not a same-day roster. A fresh Yolo County arrest may not show up right away. For one individual, the VINELink Check walks through the alert route. The broader Arrest Log covers the past-week press board and monthly reports. When the question is whether someone is in custody right now, calling the jail directly comes first. Note: Social posts and alerts keep the public informed, but YCSO does not present them as a complete same-day booking ledger.
Arrest Charges Are Accusations
Case records live at the Yolo Superior Court. Check there when a public case exists. Not every file is open, though, because state law shields certain material from public view. Juvenile matters stay sealed. So do protected-victim details, sealed records, and files tied to sensitive investigations. Agencies may lawfully withhold that kind of information. A gap in an arrest record can reflect those protections rather than an error or an oversight. Yolo County publishes what the law allows.
