Search Yolo County Recent Arrests

Finding Yolo County recent arrests means knowing which office to ask. The county custody line can confirm a new booking within hours. Sheriff reports and city police logs fill in other gaps. Yolo County mugshots have no live official gallery. A booking photo usually takes a formal records request. Want to know who was arrested in Yolo County? Start with the source that matches your question. That may be current custody, a past booking, or a court date after release. The pages here map each route out clearly.

Yolo County Arrest Sources

No live countywide roster exists for Yolo County bookings. The Sheriff's Crime Data and Booking Status page offers monthly booking-statistics PDFs instead. It also lists a press board inside the Monroe Detention Center lobby. That board holds copies of the prior week's Sheriff arrest reports. Some arrests stay off the public list because of legal limits or sensitive investigations. Call Monroe Records at 530-668-5245 for anyone possibly still in custody. Staff can confirm who is held. They can also share releasable details such as charges, bail, court date, housing, tentative release, and outside holds.

Each source answers a different question. The monthly PDF covers the Sheriff only, and it arrives late. Arrests by Davis, Woodland, West Sacramento, UC Davis Police, or CHP are not counted there. A city log shows local police activity but not whether a person remains jailed. VINE sends selected custody-change alerts when status shifts.

Two pages widen the Yolo County arrest picture. The 24 Hour Arrests page tracks same-day bookings. The multi-day Arrest Log reaches further. It pulls in the press board, monthly files, and local blotters.

New Yolo County Arrest Timing

Every Yolo County booking starts at Monroe. Intake there involves identity checks, charge review, medical screening, and hold checks. Bail, citation release, and transfer decisions add more delay. So the arrest time and the moment staff can confirm a record rarely match. The Sheriff offers no booking app to close that gap. For someone arrested last night, call the custody line first, check the arresting city's log second, then set VINE alerts for release or transfer. A name missing from a web page does not mean no arrest happened.

Fresh bookings lag behind public material. A city bulletin or monthly PDF can sit hours or days old. Confirm status with Monroe Records first. Then treat any unofficial copy with care.

Yolo County Jail Roster Check

YCSO handles roster checks by phone. The agency publishes no live searchable roster of people in custody at the Yolo County jail. The monthly press-board file will not fill that role either. The YCSO Custody FAQ lists the fields jail staff may provide. Give enough detail to separate people who share a name, and expect privacy and legal limits on what staff can share.

Field to ask aboutMeaning
Custody statusWhether the person is currently held
Arrest detailsArresting agency, date, and listed charges
Court and bailKnown court date and current bail information
HousingCurrent Yolo detention placement
Release and holdsTentative release information and another agency's hold

Use a short verification sequence:

  1. Call 530-668-5245 and ask whether the person is in Yolo custody now.
  2. Confirm the arresting agency and arrest date to prevent a false name match.
  3. Ask about court, bail, housing, release, and outside holds only as needed.
  4. Use the court portal for later filings and disposition, not the monthly booking PDF.

The official custody page shows the categories available by phone.

Where Yolo Reports Get Published

Begin with the agency that made or handled the booking. Official Yolo County sources state their own limits plainly. Copies floating around online can drop corrections, release updates, or court outcomes. Local Crime News runs a Yolo Sheriff section, but it is unofficial and often stale. Mugshots.com holds an older Yolo archive rather than a current feed. RecentlyBooked, BustedNewspaper, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone list no confirmed Yolo page. None of them substitutes for the county roster.

Yolo Recent Arrests by City

County intake is centralized, yet each city keeps records its own way. Davis Recent Arrests leans on the Davis Police Citizen RIMS bulletin first. A separate YCSO custody check follows. Woodland Recent Arrests offers a date-searchable city Arrest Log plus a case log. For West Sacramento Recent Arrests, the Police Records Section and the city public-records portal are the route. No self-service arrest log exists. Keep this in mind. A city record can describe an arrest without showing the person is still at Monroe.

Inside a Yolo Arrest Record

A booking record captures what the agency logged at the time of arrest and intake. YCSO's public monthly format stays narrow. It shows only name, arrest date, arrest location, and charges. Booking number, intake time, facility, bail, housing, release date, and case number are left out. So is any booking photograph. Phone custody information can run richer than the PDF. For what happened after prosecutors reviewed the arrest, the court file is the source.

Yolo Mugshots and Booking Photos

YCSO photographs many people at intake. The booking photo then becomes part of the person's jail record. No live public gallery of those images exists. Policy 805 in the agency's public manual governs the release of jail booking photographs, and it lays out a controlled process rather than a promise to post everything online. Ask YCSO Records directly for a specific photo. Name the person, the date, the arresting agency, and the record you want. The custodian can release, redact, delay, or withhold material based on privacy, an active investigation, juvenile or sealed status, safety, policy, and California law.

State law adds two limits. California Penal Code §13665 restricts law-enforcement social-media posting of booking photos for nonviolent offenses, subject to stated exceptions. That statute targets social media only. California Civil Code §1798.91.1 also bars covered publishers from demanding payment to remove or correct a booking photograph. These rules beat a simple public-or-private label.

Old booking photos can linger on unofficial sites long after a case closes. Use official record-correction or court-relief routes first. A publisher's own correction process should be free and verified as current before you trust it. Never pay a private removal site. Paying a publisher to drop a photo is exactly what the statute discourages.

The YCSO policy-manual page lists the photo-release framework.

Request a Yolo Arrest Record

YCSO handles its public records through the California Public Records Act page. Reports, booking records, and photo releases all start there. The form asks for basics. Give the date, location, and parties. Add a report number if you have one. Describe the record clearly. Staff take calls weekdays, 8 to 5. Mail, fax, email, and in-person requests all work, except on holidays. A report copy runs $15 at base, with possible per-page costs added. The agency frames its first response in ten days. Locating, reviewing, or redacting records can stretch production well past that.

  1. Identify the exact record: arrest report, booking entry, or booking photograph.
  2. Give the name, arrest date, arresting agency, location, and known report or booking number.
  3. Submit the request through the YCSO CPRA channel and keep a copy.
  4. Ask for the legal basis and available appeal or correction route if material is withheld.

Filing a request does not force disclosure. Government Code §§7923.600 and 7922.535 set out access rules and law-enforcement exemptions. Sealed, juvenile, victim-protected, or active-investigation material gets different handling. Yolo posts no fixed retention term for booking photos, so ask the records custodian for the applicable schedule rather than borrowing a number from another county.

California Record Relief Paths

Access in California runs record by record. When a booking list rolls off the press board, the agency's source file usually survives, and long retention never obliges anyone to keep a web post up. YCSO posts no fixed retention term. One term covers neither booking reports nor photos. For older county material, the Yolo County Library Archives can help with newspapers and historical government items. The California State Archives holds selected historic records too. It is not a live Monroe custody system.

Relief is not one universal expungement switch. Yolo court forms cover dismissals, California Courts lays out several clean-record paths, and Penal Code §851.92 can seal a local arrest record under a court order. Court files, DOJ summaries, agency copies, search-engine results, and private copies may each need separate steps. The order and the record type decide what actually changes.

Missing details can have a simple cause. Privacy law, sealing rules, or an open case may block access. Each gap has a reason. None of it points to hiding.

Yolo Warrant Verification

The YCSO Most Wanted page lists a selected group of people sought on felony warrants. It is not a full warrant database. For warrant details, call 530-668-5245 during the hours the Sheriff states, or check the Yolo Superior Court portal for public case information. A lawyer or the court can arrange a lawful response. Never confront, follow, or detain anyone on a list. Tips go to the YCSO tip line. Separate instructions cover business hours and after hours.

A warrant is a court-backed direction authorizing an arrest or another stated act. Miss a court date and a bench warrant can issue. Other warrants grow out of a filed case. Recall, service, or a replacement order can change status overnight, so only the issuing court or the responsible agency should confirm where a warrant stands.

Yolo Court Steps After Booking

The jail record tells one story. It tracks intake and custody at Monroe. Once a case is filed, the Yolo Superior Court Criminal Division takes over the legal stages. The public portal can show a case number, hearing department, filings, minutes, warrant entries, and a later sentence or dismissal. Police reports, probation files, and confidential material often stay off it. Arraignment is the first court stage. There the accused hears the filed charge and addresses a plea and release conditions.

Yolo publishes bail schedules. A schedule only applies before the first appearance. It is not a promise of release. A judge can set a different amount, and a warrant amount or an outside hold can control, so ask Monroe Records about current bail and holds. For what happens later, rely on the court file, and use the Yolo court portal as the official case-search interface.

Yolo Custody Beyond County Jail

The California Incarcerated Records and Information Search, or CIRIS, covers people in CDCR custody. It is not a recent Yolo arrest roster. A lookup can return a name, CDCR number, age, current location, commitment county, admission date, and parole-hearing details, but no booking photo. CDCR routes eligible photo requests through its media policy.

The BOP inmate locator handles federal custody. It offers no public booking-photo gallery. ICE runs its own detainee locator, which demands an exact name or an A-number paired with country of birth. No public Yolo ICE feed exists. A county reference to a federal warrant should never be read as proof of immigration status.

For custody alerts, start with the VINELink Check. YCSO says California VINE sends release, pending-release, and transfer notices within participating systems. It is only a notification layer. It will not serve booking photos or federal records.

Yolo Crime and Booking Data

YCSO keeps two kinds of numbers apart. Crime statistics count reported incidents across a set jurisdiction. Booking statistics work differently. The monthly booking PDF logs selected Sheriff arrests and shows just four public fields. Neither dataset can back a countywide conviction rate, a full arrest total, or a fair ranking of police agencies. Davis, Woodland, West Sacramento, UC Davis Police, CHP, and the rest file through their own reporting paths, so the narrow geography is a reason to check city sources rather than fill the gap with estimates.

Yolo Sheriff Arrest Geography

The consolidated YCSO statistics cover unincorporated Yolo County only. The booking PDFs track arrests made by the Sheriff's Office, not a census of every agency in the county. That scope matters. No total from the report should be labeled as all arrests in Davis, Woodland, West Sacramento, or the county as a whole.

Yolo Bail Schedule Limits

Yolo Superior Court posts a felony and misdemeanor bail schedule. A uniform traffic and penalty schedule sits alongside it. The criminal court states the schedule applies before first appearance. A judge can still move bail up or down. An amount named in a warrant may control. No release is promised. For current bail, release processing, and outside holds, Monroe Records is the right source.

Yolo Booking Facility History

Monroe Detention Center opened in 1988. A major expansion and remodel came in 2018. YCSO calls it the main point where new arrests enter custody, housing people awaiting court along with some sentenced people. Leinberger Memorial Center has a different story. That facility grew out of alternative sentencing and programs. It also notes staffing conditions that affect housing. So "Yolo County Jail" can mean more than one housing setting, yet confirming a recent arrest still starts with Monroe Records rather than a separate facility page or photo feed.

Yolo Record Fees Differ

Every office sets its own price. YCSO charges $15 for a copy of a report. Extra pages can add to that. Woodland will hand over up to 50 pages for $5, but bring photo identification. Over at Yolo Superior Court, the math changes again. Pages run 50 cents each. A certified packet costs $40. A research fee may add $15.

Note: Confirm the current charge with the office holding the record before you send a request.

Why Yolo Arrests May Be Withheld

What you see on a public list is never the full agency record. YCSO cites statutory restrictions. Sensitive confidential investigations can also keep certain Yolo arrests out of its booking material. Davis limits details to shield victims. Its public activity log also leaves out juvenile offenders and sensitive crimes. West Sacramento does list several police records as requestable. Exemptions and a privacy review still apply.

Names also vanish for plain timing reasons. A weekly lobby copy rolls off while the record stays with its custodian. Someone released from custody drops out of current data. Sealing or court relief may close access later. A city report can sit apart from the Sheriff-only monthly PDF. When you have a lawful need, ask the agency for the exact item and date. Turn to the court only for public filed-case events. Search snippets and stale private copies cannot settle what the official record says now.

No Yolo Booking App Verified

The Yolo Sheriff's Office offers no mobile app. None covers a live jail roster, booking feed, or photo search. Its website, custody phone line, monthly files, VINE information, court portal, and municipal police logs all stand apart. Each is a separate official tool. Social media and emergency-alert channels serve other purposes. Never mistake them for complete arrest lists. A private jail directory's app is unofficial, even when it repeats the Monroe phone number. Confirm current custody with YCSO, since copied data may run late or fall short.
